At the upcoming Florida January 29 – February 1 session of The Aquaponic Farming Course, Quality Certification Services will be joining us on Sunday, Feb. 1 for a special presentation designed for our Aquaponic Farming Course students and future farmers. Quality Certification Services(QCS), an industry leader with more then 25 years of experience in certification, recently launched their Aquaponics Certification Program to address Good Agricultural Practices(GAPs) and food safety elements of aquaponic operations as a whole. Aquaponic producers of any size may apply for the certification which covers both produce and fish production. QCS also offers organic certification for both produce and aquaculture. Farming course students will learn about QCS’s aquaponics program and will also gain an understanding of how the new aquaponics certification differentiates from the other organic and food safety programs QCS offers.
Then on day 2, learn from marketing expert and business owner, Jackie Ulasewich for The Aquaponic Farming Course session on the keys to successful farm marketing. As a professional marketer for well over a decade, Jackie works with Green Acre on developing marketing campaigns driven to increase farm sales and solidify branding. Jackie’s passion for business and marketing
inspired her to take her skills to the next level by founding Vantage Point Partners. With Vantage Point, Jackie and her team have helped a wide variety of business owners all over the nation focus their message, reach their target audience and increase sales through effective marketing campaigns. Glean tips, trade tricks and the inside track from a marketing professional to help build and brand your farm business.
Also learn from lead Green Acre Instructors and course founders Gina Cavaliero and Green Acre co founder and farmer Tonya Penick. Cavaliero and Penick have been farming aquaponically for nearly five years and were the first to develop a successful aquaponic farm in Florida.
